I too had the same speakers driven by Nestorovic Alpha 1 monos. Loved them but ultimately they were replaced by the RS1b. I would have, like you loved hearing them again for old times sake.

Marvelous system. I wish I had the room and the physical ability to store my favorite old speaker. It would have been my Genesis II's. They had a lot of flaws but were pure hi-fi fun. I was also quite fond of my Thiel CS5i's.

RS IIa is a personal favourite speaker- never listened to a bad pair yet- despite poor rooms, and low-quality sources - they manage to rise above what's put into them- if that makes sense.
