Since I can't seem to be able to start my own thread yet, pls allow me to post this here..What is coming beyond the mighty 861? Is it simply another .X version, or a whole unit upgrade? I believe Mr Kal Rubinson was using one for many years and I think he moved on (am interested if he will divulge what he went to) which for the many years of satisfaction speaks quite kindly to it...but where is Meridian going from the 861?

Yeah that's the $64.00 question what are they up to with the 861? I am just hoping for an ability to pass through MQA from the 808 to the SE speakers. I have my fingers crossed that will happen soon maybe.

I'm about to buy a pair of dsp 8000 circa 2011. previously had revel salon 1, salon 2, currently Usher be-20 DMD. My room is difficult to get bass below 80 hz from. really like the Usher's ability to stay musical while being as revealing as any speaker i've heard. Ill be driving a few hundred miles to hear the dsp 8000 how do they compare to thats currently available?
