Balance issue

With the player directly driving the amp, switch the left and right interconnects at the player end only. If the imbalance changes sides then the problem's in the source component since you have isolated it with this connection change.

Subbed in another CD player...dusted off my GNS Resolution audio , and balance is back ....must be something in the OPPO..
Time to pack it up for a service call I guess.

Just a followup Heard from Kristan at Modwright.
There was a bad connection on the tube board, possibly to the unit itself. a short conversation, and not exactly sure where it connected. Anyway, it was affecting the output to the balanced circuitry, and has been fixed.
This probably was what I heard when I returned it a year ago, but may not have been noticeable when they looked at it last time.
All is well now...awaiting the return!!

They have awesome coustomer service at modwright imo. Dan and Kristen were both super helpful . I just had a psu upgrade and new modwright caps installed on my swl9.0se preamp. It was built in 2004 but since I had the new work done the 5 year warranty is good again. Imo that's very awesome of them.
