Default Prem 18LS

Does anybody know this very nice cj SS preamp ?
Two Prem 18LS have just made a very fast passage on Audiogon, there should be something special.....

I noticed the quick sale of those Prem 18LS preamps as well......not much discussion or available end user info on the interweb.

Does cj currently manufacture a ss preamp ?

Not in its current line of products but it had excellent preamps and power amps in the past. I am still enjoying their Motif power amp from the early 90's.

I don't think C-J's ever made a product that didn't sound great or was unmusical. These guys DO know what they're doing. Given how good the SS Pr350 amp sounds, I'm sure they are more than capable of designing an excellent SS preamp.

Hi Guys,

Proud owner of this unit for some 11 years. From my experience, great piece / very musical. Thinking about upgrading to the ET5 but on the fence regarding real benefits.

Hi dude,

Welcome!

The ET5 is a nice preamp. Very musical. I don't know the 18LS so I can't compare the two.
