It was a sanity-check response -- if one doesn't get it or understand it, then they must be sane.

If you undersood the comment, then you're a bit loose between the shoulders. Guess it is attributed to that M203 or M113.

Calling the VA in the morning.

Yes, I like their complicatedness -- wish they would maintain a band that is member stable.

So...where is this leading to?

---We're talking music changes Bob, and this is in the General Off Topic section; so any type of music is good, and a little bifurcation once in a while doesn't hurt no one.

Now, King Crimson I grew up with, and it is one of my favorite Rock Progressive bands, along with Pink Floyd, and Soft Machine.

And these two albums I like a lot (personal & profound memories):

1. -------------------------2.

* You can click on either one above.
1. Islands (1971)
2. Lark's Tongues in Aspic (1973)

_________________

And King Crimson has those albums, in this order:

1. In the Court of the Crimson King (1969)
2. In the Wake of Poseidon (1970)
3. Lizard (1970)
4. Islands (1971) * First picture cover (to the left) above.
5. Earthbound (1972)
6. Lark's Tongues in Aspic (1973) * Second picture cover (to the right) above.
7. Starless and Bible Black (1974)
8. Red (1974)
9. USA (1975)
10. Discipline (1981)

And more...

Not fond of Islands & sold it. They tried too hard to come up with something that could top their debut album (In the court....).

Larks.. is fine and enjoyable as is Starless ..... which followed & they made some great albums thereafter.

---Thx for sharing Bob.

By the way, I also very much like 'In the Wake of Poseidon', and 'Lizard'. ...'Discipline' too.

BUT, 'Islands' and 'Lark's Tongues in Aspic' are truly and deeply memorable to me,
because, that is when I did some of the best acid in my life!

And I'll spare you all the details. ...I only say this though; there were some beautiful chicks at the time, and they were very hot!

No changes in my listening habits for the last 15 years or so.

My musician daughter listens to a wide variety of music and keeps me relatively up to date with new artists that she has filtered for me. I don't like all the music she does, but she likes all the music I do, and she knows what I like. That way, I don't have to waste my time listening to junk.

The benefit of classical music is that TIME has filtered out most of the crap.
