Default Post Good Blu Ray Concerts

After watching part of my wifes Blu Ray of Celine Dion which impressed me both with the clarity of the picture and the superb sound in the home theater I have been searching for other concerts. I am considering buying one of Elton Johns, 2 Blu Ray concerts but I am not sure which one is better: Red Piano concert in Las Vegas or his 60th Birthday Concert at Madison Square Garden, recommendations appreciated. I am also ordering the Chicago/Earth Wind and Fire concert on Blu Ray for my wife. Post good Blu Ray concerts here

Make sure that your Blu Ray video has the "PCM Stereo" feature in the audio setup section. The audio quality with this particular feature is superb vs Dolby Digital 2.0. I have not seem any concerts for Blu Ray as of yet, all 35 of my current video concerts are regular DVD variety. I play the video portion on my 17" Dell XPS M1710 laptop and run a Kubala-Sosna coax cable to the digital input of my MCD500. My laptop does double duty as I also use it to do solar/lunar imaging outdoors with my telescopes.

Hi 1KW,

From my collection (and those I have already seen) , would strongly recommend the following:

1. Chris Botti In Boston
2. David Foster & Friends - Hitman
3. Legends-Live In Montreaux
4. Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood-Live From Madison Square Garden
5. Elton John-Elton 60
6. Paul Simon & Friends-The Library Of Congress Gershwin Prize
7. Roy Orbison-Black & White Concert

If you want, I will post more ... but the above are the ones I can remember off my head as being great! The are a few that's best be forgotten ... music or video quality.

Happy hunting. Think these are still available in Amazon or shops.

Cheers!

I purchased the Blu-ray DVD of Legends-Live In Montreaux, and watched/listened to it last night. It is excellent. The video is first rate, the audio is spectacular.
