audioquest4life, I regret commenting on this thread so late but better late than never. Your story and write up are extremely interesting. I am so happy for you that you found your dream speaker and system.

I never heard of the Classic Audio T1.5 Reference or the Hartsfield. I did some research on CA. What an interesting company and their speakers seem remarkable with the field coil technology even extending to the mid.

The weight of the T1.5 means the cabinet is well made and I saw a review of the speaker in which the woofer weighed in at 50 pounds. Very impressive along with the electromagnet technology which I understand to be inherently better than a permanent magnet.

Congratulations on finding/discovering this speaker (T1.5). Apparently, its a classic and competitive with anything on the market.
