The Sigma HC power cord may or may not fit on the Soulution 710, depending upon the location of the IEC mains connection. If the IEC mains connection is in line with the speaker terminals; no, the Sigma HC, nor Alpha HC, have sufficient distance to turn out of the way of the terminals (barrel length, not cable diameter, is the issue). Other Soulution 710 amps have the IEC mains connection about midway up the amp, permitting the Sigma HC or Alpha HC to ride over the speaker terminals. The Sigma HC is more flexible than the Alpha HC, so even better, though it is not recommended to change power cords frequently given the tight fit.

Thanks to Grant for checking into this for me.

Quick update.

On my Soulution 710, the Sigma HC provides a more propulsive musical presentation over the Alpha HC, with a lower noise floor and cleanly delineated treble. The increased musical “pace”, for lack of a better word, is not usually heard, but those comparing vinyl to digital know exactly what it is and a welcome benefit.

Able to measurably quantify the difference? No. Have heard so many items that sound significantly better over the years that my system ought to sound better than the real thing by now, but it doesn't. Most benefits heard over the years, in hindsight, were simply "different" and not "better".

In this case the Sigma HC does sound better across the board versus the Alpha HC, but worth the price? To me, “yes”, but also trying to push the limit and have the funds to support my hobby. If just starting out I’d recommend Venom 3’s on everything rather than one great power cord.
