Awesome.

Shunyata is doing amazing work these days. Great to hear your experiences.

Yes...the best ever in their history across the entire line IMHO.

Stephen, I am curious about the Shunyata Research Ethernet cables. And how they would work in my system, my dedicated room is located on the second floor of our house. I am running a 50 foot cat 6 cable from the modem/router to my equipment rack via Ethernet splitter.

From my splitter I run 4 cat 6 cables to the following components:
1. Apple TV for direct connection
2. McIntosh MX 170 theater processor for system updates
3. Legacy Audio Wavelet processor for system updates
4. Roon Nucleus+ for Tidal and Qobuz streaming to McIntosh c2700 preamp

Would I benefit upgrading any or all of the Ethernet cat 6 cables from the splitter to the components. I think the most important one would be the cable to the Roon+ and probably the Apple TV. I have read very good things about the New Omega Ethernet and not sure how the Alpha and Sigma cable would do for those components.

The other option is replacing my Ethernet splitter with UpTone EtherRegen, just not sure if I need to do this, or upgrade to the Shunyata Research Ethernet cables.

As always I really appreciate any help on this on this matter, and on a side note Ivan texted me, and my Omega XC power cable for the Everest will be here on Friday.

HifiHippie I can’t answer your question re the new cables but I’m wondering why the Legacy Wavelet is connected to the network ? Are you also using the WiFi on the wavelet ?

Rick U, I’m honestly not sure if I should be using a Ethernet cable to it? Or to the MX170 for that matter. To answer your question I am using the Wipi to communicate from my iPad to the Wavelet. It sounds like I don’t need to use a Ethernet cable for the Wavelet, is this correct.

I noticed you are using a McIntosh MC 462 on your Aeris loudspeakers. I have the same amp on my Legacy Audio Aeris speakers as well, and I have been happy with the results

Default Shunyata Research power cables suggestions for my system

Yes try disconnecting anything that’s not needed as it may be introducing noise. You might hear a difference straight away. I switched the wavelet power brick for a nice liner power supply. HUGE improvement.

Rick U, thanks for letting me know on the Ethernet cable, I will unplug it this evening. I too added a HDPlex 300 linear power supply to the Wavelet with great results. What cable are you using from the Wavelet to the LPS?

Ghent Audio Neotech 7N DC Umbilical with the right wiring and connector spec, XLR3->XLR5 with a specific pin mapping gets it done very well.

Revelation Audio Labs Cryosilver DC umbilical is another good option, same caveats in connectors and pin mapping

Wavelet control panel is web-based or via mobile app. This requires Wavelet to be on the net either via Wifi or Ethernet.

Wavelet also connects to Bohmer's and Legacy site at bootup to fetch the Room Correction target functions for your specific speaker and room configuration.

HiFiHippie and SCAudiophile are you both using the Wavelet’s built in dac? After adding the UpTone Power Supply, the Wavelet dac blows away The PS Audio Direct Stream running through McIntosch C1100. I’m feeding the Wavelet with a dCS network bridge and it sounds great.
