I have always wonder if how does a LD Movie stack up against that of a DVD version of the same movie
 I dont know if I was any smart, but I rid all of the LD collection and the MLD7020 as part of my trade up (with a pair of JM Labs Mezzo Utopia) to a pair of Wilson 6. Come to think of it, I got back like S$5 for every piece  LD.The wonder of it all is I thought I have rid off all of them UNTIL yesterday when I found I had some 50 pieces left in one of my cabinet. Now I dont know what to do with them as I dont have a player at all.  I wonder if running my fingers thru the LD would play any images!  Cheers!

Terry.......I never got into laser discs. I auditioned a few when they were the rage, but was not impressed enough with the players, the picture quality, or the availablilty of laser discs, so I never jumped on that bandwagon.

Jim.......I auditioned a Pioneer unit (no idea the model number) at two different stores in Portland, Oregon. If I remember correctly, it was 1981. eithNiether laser disc player looked that much better to me than NTSC broadcasts. The sound was through a mid-fi Pioneer receiver at both stores, and again I wasn't that impressed. I agree the being able to move about on the disc was cool, but I never got excited enough about laser discs to reach for my wallet.
