Nice work. I joined the Everest club a couple weeks ago. Ivan made it possible including delivery of all within a week, including a marble base. It is settling in and the results are fantastic. The imaging and tonal quality greatly improve the enjoyment. Had no idea my components had hidden in them the SQ they are now delivering.

Congrats. Everest is amazing in what it will do for a system.

Your components have even more SQ hidden in them. If any of your components have a ground terminal, connect a Shunyata CGC cable to one of the GP-NR terminals on the Everest. It's NOT a subtle improvement. Ivan can set you up. If you don't have a dedicated ground terminal, you can use an unused interface port, e.g. unused RCA or XLR, or for digital gear, S/PDIF port, etc. You can get the ground cables with whatever termination you have available that's not being presently used. If your analog amplification gear is fully dual-mono, be sure to use a CGC for each channel of a unused interface jack. Nice thing about using a S/PDIF port for a digital component is you only need one cable.

Once you get feel for that improvment, add an Altaira when you can and connect it to your Everest. Then you'LL REALLY get a sense of the hidden SQ quality. Altaira is frickin' mind-blowing, just as Ivan has described in his review.

Thanks for the input and excellent advise. I have attached Shunyata CGC ground cables from the etherREGEN and both Esoteric units to the GP-NR terminals of the Everest. The system is fully dual-mono, so there is a bit more to do in that regard. Looking forward to more enhancements.

Cool beans. Keep us posted with your findings. It's all good data for the "database". Cheers.

Hello Puma Cat,

For almost one year I saved to get an Everest, and I get it one week ago. I am really happy. Not subtle upgrade indeed.

I prefered the ARC Ref 160M also plugged in the Everest, not in the wall, I get more PRAT the accuracy of all the dinamics and transients is much better like that, providing an even more musicality.

My question today is about grounding. I’m not yet in the Altair project… I will get there in one year probably.

But I would like to know if it is worth to link the EtherRegen to the proper ground Everest pole?

My digital system is composed by a s7i Wadia DAC/CD, the fibre converter , the Etherregen and a Nekleus+ Roon Streamer. As far I understood reading all the advices here, the ER is the most important to ground through the Everest. Am I right?

Is it worth to link the fibre converter , Nucleus and Wadia DAC which have not ground termoinal so I should grab theirs chassis directly

I have my EtherREGEN grounded to my Denali v2, it definitely makes a difference. The Altaira will be my next purchase.
