Charles, I am so sad to hear this news. The only words I can think of to say are something a friend told me when my wife died six years ago. “Your relationship with Nit (wife’s name) does not stop here. It has changed but it continues.” Of course, it did not stop the pain or tears, but I truly felt I saw my wife in the flowers of spring and heard her voice in the sounds of the birds. For the first year, I talked to her constantly, and whenever the cardinals visited my apartment window sill for the sunflower seeds I put out, I knew she was visiting me.
