Terry, I owned a Cayman R with the Carbon Buckets. They were fantastic in terms of support for track/aggressive driving. As a daily/street car? Not necessary at all. The Porsche seats are excellent in terms of support and comfort so the buckets are truly a track bonus item.

While those buckets were OK in terms of comfort for a few hours at a time, my back would start to feel it and I was in my 40s. Getting in and out of them? Ha! That is best left to the youngsters.

Terry, that is such a beautiful and clearly well taken care of big red boy!
Your story with Rascal gave my wife and me the wish to have a Maine Coone as our next cat.
Our cat now, almost 17 years old, is still going strong and getting more and more amiable with the years, so we're not at all in a hurry.

Have fun. I remember waiting for several years until I took delivery of my 2004 GT-3. After a short break-in, I was racing it with the Porsche Owners Club in Southern California. Very humbling but eventually became a driving instructor. Still have the car but it is not very drivable on public streets with 900 lbs/in springs and JRZ shocks!

I miss my Brown Tabby Maine Coon, Mr. Felix, who lived for 18 years, 4 months and 18 days. Long live yours!

My wife and I now have a 4 year old Giant Schnatzer boy, Ziggy!

Well the Audi RS-3 I did love and truthfully if I hadn't stumbled on the Porsche GT4.
I could have easily kept and lived with the RS-3 for years and years.

The reason I have made this last purchase is simply because IMHO I'm running out of years for this sort of Sports Car.
I want to have what very well might end up being my Last Sports Car while I still can still enjoy it.
June I'll be 76 so using Common-Sense it seems to me it's now or never.

Yes my Good-Man of course I'm interested in your Cayman R.
I checked all the pictures out and loved what I saw.
I also saw a video of the Cayman R on You-tube.







And for those that might not know those "Racing Bucket Seats" ^^^ would be IMO a Freaking Nightmare for Street use.


As you said they would not be an issue for a "Youngster" but me soon to be 76.
No-Thanks I went for the 18-Way totally adjustable Street-Seats.

We had tiger for 16-years and we both loved him dearly.
He was actually Super-Bonded to me.
Cathy had a Ragdoll named Max and he was Bonded to Cathy but Semi Tolerated me.

I have seen lots and lots and lots of You-tube videos on the different years of the GT-3.
They are killer machines No-Doubt.


So now you guys have a 4-year old "Giant Schnauzer" named Ziggy.
I /we tried multiple times with having pups but it just never worked out.
So, we went back to the Kittens and stayed with them.


But I surely do love dogs !!!

Yes, that was a Great review and I have read it multiple times.
I am very-very impressed with the GT4 and I think the way I have configured mine it will be an easy to live with on the street.
I'm way-way past tracking anything these days I just want a Sports car that is quick, super-handling, and has the looks and as a Bonus easy to live with for daily use.

As stated in the earlier review, a true Porsche sports car rather than the GT they've turned the 911 into. Nothing as good as a normally aspirated 6cyl in my opinion. That's why I drive a pair of them.
Here's a pic of my 911 with my wife checking something out across from Acadia Nat'l Park in '95. For the Porsche aficionado, those are 16" Fuchs rather than the stock 15". Is a pic of a pic, but that is the original paint and very close to your new GT4.
