Yeah, sure it is a hoax. Because embedding an object into hard rock somehow, in the remote location in the desert, is something that every teenager dreams of and is capable of doing.
How does one embed an object like that into rock so precisely? What kind of tools can you bring in an off road vehicle like a Jeep to get there? How much would a solid object that size of what appears to be either stainless steel or an alloy weigh? How was it carried down into the basin? Why is there a symmetrical split in the rock? Anyone notice the machine like marks at the bottom of the split in the rock? Why is the monolith pointed at the crack with its edge? Lot's of good questions that are unlikely to receive answers. It will be no different than the crop circles. Because someone "can" create an elaborate hoax, that must be the answer. Whether it is logical or not doesn't matter. Certainly it was not the ET.... Sure about that? |

So out of curiosity, does anyone have any ideas how to accomplish a hoax like this? How would you go about it?

Monolith found in Utah
If one is a fan of the movie (it is the movie I saw the most to date) following two books are highly recommended...the Taschen book, now available in budget format, exceeded all expectations...a must have. Last edited by JemHadar; 11-25-2020 at 03:27 PM. |

A team goes out and inspects it. It's actually just riveted together.
