Not a perfect solution but I have seen people place their tv on top of fire places higher than that. I would position the tv directly above the Aida II or perhaps slightly forward. Recliners would be a must...lol.

outlander, First of all, absolute congrats! From all I have understood Aida II's are fantastic speakers. The high end is very customized to personal taste. I don't think vocal or image height will be a problem. Some of my most favorite discs are either DVD's or LD's. The key is not to purchase too large a monitor. I am primarily a 2-channel aficionado but wouldn't dream of giving up my TV. I don't think it affects my sound at all. I have 3 seats and can tell you that all three seats give an excellent visual and sonic experience. I am sure this will eventually work out extremely well for you and that you will be very pleased. Please excuse the new remotes. I forgot they were in the pic.
