If you want to make a stereo recording into something more you can do that, too, but not to the extent of the Yamaha. I'm not a tube lover anymore did that in the 60's and 70's and have no desire to go back. So I'll keep my MC 207's. They are sweet amps and don't take up to much space.
TWiii, welcome! I am certain I have had an exchange with you elsewhere on the audio centric internet sites.

I am selling the Klipschorns. (see FS: Speakers) I can't fit them in every house I move to! They are by far some of the best sounding speakers and live up to the hype and certainly their spec'd performance rating.

I will keep my eyes out for a MX121/151. The yamaha's sound modes are some of the reasons why I have not moved on. They are fully configurable and provide near limitless customization. Watching NFL in 5.1 Dolby Digital is good, but flip that setting to the Sports Mode and it does make a difference in the surround field. I hear people clapping, chatting, yelling, you name it-- adds to the "you are there experience." I also use the Live/Acoustic sound modes for some music. Still, when I flip back to 2 Channel thru the C2500, the sound is better, but without the euphonic multichannel aspect.

Yes, Richard. Everything made the move. One more move back to New England in a little while.

Did the Jubilees make it back to Knoxville?

Yep

Got them in the front. Two LaScalas buried in the rear wall. Third LaScala in garage waiting some love and the two Danley DTS-10's also sitting in the garage waiting for me to figure out some way to slither them past the consternation of the wife.

Also picked up four more MWM double bass bins to go with my two single bass bins. I now have enough to do a 5 way surround system out in the field in front of my house.

I’ve just ordered a new ModWright LS100 preamp and an Alluxity Power One Stereo amp to drive my Klipschorns that I’ve had since 1980’s. I’ve driven them with all tube, all SS and a combo of tube pre and SS power and to me that worked the best so I’m going back to that.

Currently, I have '78 add , a pair of JL Audio F113 subwoofers, a Yamaha RXV1800. I am almost going insane with the forward tilt of sound, I'm looking for a more romantic bass tilt to the music. I've eq'd as much as i liked. Thinking the MC275 will fix that. I purchased the Klipschorns from a guy who had a wonderful Adcom amp & all the bass I needed was there- looking to gain that back & then some.

Any recommendations to complete this system?
I’m pretty happy with my system, but always a work in progress. My khorns are from 1984, and I agree that a recap would be highly beneficial. The power cord upgrades made a huge difference. I hope to also add a different sub soon as the one I have was in my HT. Glad to hear the JL 113 works well for you.

Back in 75 we voiced a pair of of Rosewood Khorns with UREI room EQ's made all the difference in in the world. I have used Crown EQ2 parametric Eq's. But they are 45 years old. If you prefer analog I would get a Ashly 3102. IF you want something more sophisticated get a Mcintosh MEN 220. Or use the Room Perfect in a Mcintosh HT processor. I use a MX 151 for my HT system. I use a MQ107 with My XRT 28 line arrays. They are prominent also around 1500 HZ. So I had to order custom caps to set a filter pair for 1500HZ to balance the system at that frequency.
