Truly sublime

Also, lose the ClearAudio Statement clamp (I have the same one). Replace it with a Stillpoints LPI 2 Clamp; you won’t believe the difference.
This was from an older pic. I bought an LPI v1 from you, and I totally agree it spanks the $1000 Clearaudio Statement clamp! You were dead on right. I haven't used the Clearaudio since I got the LPI. And I'm thinking about trying the v2. I also bought some Stillpoints SS from you for the Master but I've moved them around trying them on other stuff, and the CMS Maxxum rack does an astounding job on its own - but you're right and I'm due to try them again here, as my system has evolved quite a bit lately!

BTW, I put 4 Stillpoints SS under a $500 Fluance turntable at my girlfriend's home. Almost $1000 of feet

And...better?

Sorry, for not remembering.

The LPI v2 is profoundly better, not subtle. Don’t ask me how they do it. Sell, or repurpose your Original LPI Clamp.

I have them in stock, and the price is right.

The price is certainly right on me 560's. This is an audiophile set of cans, and a new warmth has settled after 15 hrs burn in. I've heard better, but the imagery, timing, detail, sound stage and texture and realism, with a tincture of the holographic make this ludicrous value. I'm using a highly basic dap and dac/amp and the results are very impressive. It obviates the need to go higher up the Senn line unless you go d'Agoustino (sic) with the 800S.

You said "Sennhiser HD560" and I was like woah, that's a really old set of cans - the predecessor of the wonderful HD580/HD600 series. But it appears you're talking about the new HD560S, and I was thinking of the old "HD650 Ovation" released in the 1980s.

Hopefully they kept true to the old lineage's sound - and sounds like it, based on your report. The HD580 were my first audiophile...anything, and they're most responsible for me being the out of control audiophile I am now 20 years later, haha. I wish I kept a pair, they're still amazing by today's standards.

I don't really like the "new" Sennheiser sound ala HD800 series. It lost the warmth and romance of the old series. Fortunately they still make the HD600 and HD650.

Correct, it is the new 560S. It seems to break rank with the Senn's of the recent past in goin' all analytical, but it can't hide it's lineage, warmth, totally. There's a 660S I think now as well. I agree it might start the flood gates opening, I'm already eyeing pricey dac/amps....

If you're looking to upscale your head amp I'm only going to say one word. Violectric.
