Default Opera and Choral?

I know I'm probably being a mope, but I can't seem to find any high resolution downloads, or audiophile quality LPs, of opera or choral music. I realize that neither is hugely popular in the general market, but virtually nothing? Please let me know if I'm missing a treasure trove of these recordings somewhere.

Instead of downloads, you can buy high-resolution discs as SACDs (or Blurays) and there are many opera and choral selections.

Kal - you're trying to appeal to my GAS (i.e., to buy a universal player). I'm trying to go with a turntable and a Mac Mini music server as my only sources, and the Mini won't play SACD or BluRay. I know, resistance is futile...

Mac Mini does CDs, we were talking about SACD or Blu Ray for Hi Rez as opposed to downloads.

-- So, what is it exactly that you want? ...An SACD player? ...You can get one for only $20 (a used Sony Blu-ray/SACD player).

Opera and Choral music on LPs? ... Check second-hand LP stores, and Salvation Army, and Goodwill stores.

I'm not trying to be argumentative here. I was just inquiring if there was a source for HiRez downloads or new audiophile LPs of this type of music because I haven't found them. I know I could buy SACD/BluRay/CD Players - that's not the question.

-- Sorry Chris, I might have sounded different as I wrote it. ...My bad, I apologize.

I know a place; it's called Audiophile Audition, try there. ...Sorry, can't give you the direct link (against the rules).

Best regards, and I luv your avatar, and the one you had before also.

Bob

* BTW, I love Opera and Choral music. ...I got few CDs, and SACDs of those (like more than a hundred anyway).

Thanks, no offense taken, I'll be sure to check out your recommendation. I was sort of shocked by the lack of availability on HD Tracks, etc. The old avatar was a favorite picture of Woody Guthrie (I was listening to Mermaid Avenue at the time). The new one is inspired by my Lab who seems to be suffering from some nasty gastrointestinal distress this weekend.

-- You were right though; Opera and Choral music are not your average music recordings.

But here's the truth and very saddest reality; they are the most expressive and creative emotions of the entire Music genre catalog.

Human voices are the top of any musical instruments.

But with like Movies, the masses prefer (and that's where the big dollars are too) blockbusters with CGI actions and lots of blood and violence.

What is the genre of Music that sells the most (most popular with most people)?
If you were to say Pop music, I would say that you are right.

There must be more members here into Operas and Chorales, and they must know where to get them albums (LPs), and also the sites where to download those gorgeous music genres, on a music medium that you actually can benefit from.
{Me I don't do much of that, I'm more into physical/digital territories, and also into analog r.a.d.i.o. ... even if I own several thousands of vinyls.}
