I loved listening to Casey Kasem on Armed Forces Radio in 1988 when I was in Japan on a business trip. I remember George Michael and Belinda Carlisle were tops back then.

Going even further back, I remember the WMCA "Good Guys" and "Cousin Brucie" - when all the popular music was on AM exclusively and the few FM stations in NYC had only classical music.
