They built a stand alone DAC. Good for them. I wish they would have just come out with a MDA 1200 Tube Dac. Adding the CD player IMO dumb.

What's the deal with the 24/192? My 2015 MA8000 supports 32/192.

I also don’t quite understand. The DAC is a DA2 module, which is included in several other products.

So $4k for the DAC portion of a C2700? Am I missing something?

The 'oddest' thing to me is why McIntosh did not design it with the DA2 module as a plug-in at the back. Feel sure there will be a DA3 module at some point and would be much simpler to make it 'plug-&=play'.
