Default Anyone try the new Shunyata HDMI cable yet?

My experiences with Shunyata's products has been peerless. Every product, or upgrade from one product level to the next has made a significant improvement in the performance of my 2 CH stereo and as well as my home theatre system. So much so, that the thought of going back to a system without these components is simply unthinkable.

The Hydra 8 that was in my audio system now powers my home theatre system, including the television itself, and both the TV and AVR demonstrated considerable improvements over the performance obtained with my Hydra 4. A very good demonstration of the performance of these products is to put them on your TV and literally SEE the improvements: deeper blacks, richer colors, more detail. Remarkable.

That being said, has anyone tried the new HDMI cable? I'm very intrigued by this given the improvements I've seen using the power distributor and power cords. A signal cord should make a notable improvement as well.

If so, let us know your thoughts/impressions.

I wanted to buy one but I need a 5-6 meter length, and they don't offer that length, probably for performance reasons. So far, that has been the first Shunyata product I have wanted, but didn't buy.

Any Shunyata product you buy will make an improvement on whatever audio or video product you put it on. My Triton was a component level upgrade in performance.

I currently enjoy Wireworld gen 6 HDMI cables up to Platinum level, I'm not sure the Shunyata HDMI cable have the whole ground-up design that the rest of the range has.

Knowing how R&D focused Shunyata is, and Caelin's data-driven approach to design (no one else has developed a metrology system to demonstrate, using continuous data variables, the benefits of various cables), I'm curious as to what makes you think that.

Because the lack of proper HDMI measurements like the 'Eye' and datarate over longer distances. Nothing providing 'meat' of any superiority like what you have on the Wireworld HDMI range or the Shunyata PC range for that matter.

This is gonna be long .
There are some facts that I know.
1. Never heard of any conductor based HDMI that pass High Speed requirement over longer distant without active booster.
Long distant is something like 8 meters or more. I know some active cables, Sony and Transparent Audio, where it will maintain High Speed up to 40-50 meters. I use AIM Laser which is fiber optic based and noise free and High Speed up to 100 meters.
2. Read somewhere that there are only a few factories that make bulk conductor-based HDMI cables. And they are in China or Taiwan. Also termination capability.
So some companies who have good reputation on analog audio cables will not have tools and times and facility to design, develop and build HDMI cable of their own, in USA. But some still make an offer in order to complete the product line by OEM. From Chinese factory. We can notice that the HDMI offering will be a lot cheaper when compare with other cables from the same company.
I am not here to debate, just want to share what Ive read.

I guess we'll find out.

I've used this cable and found it to provide a very nice picture with very low noise, vibrant colors and a perceived higher resolution. Also it demonstrated excellent low level detail and contrast. In short, I was very impressed by this relatively inexpensive HDMI cable for video.

I received my Shunyata HDMI cables this week. Stay tuned for an evaluation in the next few days. Cables are beutifully made, with really nice connectors!
