RCA Living Stereo Christmas albums.......
This always makes me wonder about this hobby.
A Christmas Sound Spectacular by John Klein was recorded in 1959 and I paid a dollar for it. Blows away most every recording I own. Just sounds believable and you get lost in everything going on. Then there’s those videos of the Western Elrctric amps and speakers on YouTube. Like my old man used to say “Smoke and mirrors, smoke and mirrors” |

I’ve had similar experiences with “old” records. Ive also had plenty that sound like crap.

Stunning that they could do this in 1959!
Some of the junk they sell now is puzzling. Than there's these guys selling a 14,500 dollar USB cable. http://www.fono-acustica.com/#welcome This is the weirdest hobby. Hence I don't share it with anyone. |
