I am still using my JBL L166 Horizons that I purchased new in 1976. Soon they will be going to my son when my new JBL 4367 arrive.

I still have my old Yamaha RX### Dolby Digital Receiver from 1997. It does family room duty.
If we are talking car audio, I have a Rockford Fosgate power 300 fan cooled amp in my shed. 1988 I believe. I might give it to my son when he starts to drive in a couple of years. |

I still rotate a nice little Sansui 771 (c-1972) into service, in a vintage multi-receiver-centered system.
The Sansui G-9000 & G-801 sound better, especially when pushing old but recently restored Allison Eight speakers (1st version) but I must remember not to get too happy with the volume knob. I started out with a Garrard console before getting anything from Sansui, which came afterwards in the late sixties, but all those older pieces are long since gone. I don't recall if that big piece of furniture was sold under another brand name, but I clearly remember that it had a Garrard TT under the hood. Almost as old as the 771 are my Sansui BA-2000/CA3000/TU9900. Still enjoy them! Also keeping several White Instruments 3rd octave rotary knob EQ (rack mounts, 4100?) but don't know their age. Using an old DBX 3BX unit (1st series) in yet another system, does anyone know what years these were made? Not as old, but I regularly use a few 1977-78 Technics RS-M85 cassette decks (restored), that sound amazingly good despite being of a two (SX)head design. |

My oldest and most cherished audio component's are a set of 1962 Mac MC40 mono blocks that I found in rough shape and had electronically restored. Retubed with vintage tubes they drive my Klipsch Heresy's (1983) and make me grin every time I listen to them.

Just got this from my dad. He bought it at Myer Emco (no longer around) in 1977.
