I am sure you know this but the companion TSDX is a SUPERB choice for your DAC2X. If you could hear mine (especially on SACDs), you'd loose it right there.

Ivan.......There is no moss growing on your north side. You get'er done, and quick!

This review will be a lot of fun. I have wanted to see a shootout between the McIntosh MCD1100 and the Esoteric K-03 since the K-03 arrived on the market. I am pleased to be able to do this A/B comparison, in the studio system of course. Once I get the Esoteric K-03 installed in the two channel rack I'll have to put a few hundred hours on it to make sure the K-03 is fully broken in before pitting it against the MD1100. This head to head SACD/CD player shootout should be quite revealing.

I am excited about this. I appreciate the opportunity to get my hands on the Esoteric K-03. I'll be keeping a sharp eye out for the delivery, most likely in a week.

Yes, indeed. So many great options! The Esoteric K-03 was one of TAS's products of the year as well.

This is going to be amazing test and review,I would think if it is as good or better than the 1100 that the option for Black needs to be an option for many of you
