I did order the HD4 today but I will be doing my own loading. It will be here by Thursday.

Jim,

Glad that you decided to get one.

I can't wait to hear what you think.

Stephen,
Once it is broken in and loaded with the music I am familiar with, I plan on comparing it to both the MS-300 going direct thru my C-1000 and also via the MCD-500's DAC's. I will also compare it to the M CD-500's CD drive.
Jim

The Olive 4HD has arrived. I have opened the box and started to let it come up to room temperature while I run over to the Shack to pick up an HDMI cable to connect the unit to the same monitor I use for the MS-300.

It is little large than it looks in the pictures, but it is still not big.

Congrats Jim...looking forward to your impressions especially comparing its onboard DAC with the conversion on your MCD-500 and the MS-300 thru your C1000

Jim.......I am interested to know about the quality of the GUI, as comapred to the MS300/750. How about a couple of photos of the screen once it's up and running.

I selected silver since I plan on having it sit on top of my S15. Pics to come in a few hours.

They forgot to send a remote. I downloaded the iPhone app and it can be run from the touch screen on the unit. No problem getting connected to my network or the internet.

Dan, access via a web browser does not like it is going to be as good as the 300/750 (which is good but not great). They are working on the functionality but now you can hit play, select and update music. More on this when I figure it out.

One point is you cannot have both the touchscreen and the hdmi output working at the same time. Until I get the remote from them I really cannot use the monitor.
