To be honest with you, I wasn't expecting to be reaching those speeds in doing that. With that said, even though the posted speed limits on I-4 and I-275 range between 55-70 mph, most of the clowns out there are doing 80-90 mph, so my quick little blast up to 100-115 wasn't too drastic. Plus, there wasn't anyone around me other than the semi's at the times of me doing those pulls.
Charles.......I know that. Had an old-timers moment.

Those are impressive numbers coming out of this engine. I'd love to see some 0-60 numbers. They should be in supercar territory.

What's next for you ? Reducing weight ?

Georges... Those are impressive numbers coming from a tiny 1.4L. I love that fact.

With the right tires and some way of keeping weight on the front wheels, low 5 second 0-60 times are possible, maybe high 4's. On the stock tires on the street, I've clocked myself with consistent mid to high 5 sec times (between 5.6-5.8 sec), and that's short shifting into 2nd by about 30 mph. If I stay in 1st, I'm just wasting time spinning rubber. By 30 mph in 2nd gear, it puts my rpms right at the beginning of where max torque comes in, about 3800 rpm. From that point, it's just holding on for dear life! LOL

I've been thinking about "adding lightness" for a little bit now. I could do a rear seat delete (which the rear seat is pretty useless anyway). That would net me 46 lbs plus another 10 lbs for the two seat belt mechanisms. So 56 lbs there. I could also save another 30 lbs up front by going to a much smaller battery as well as going with a front mount intercooler and removing the stock dual side mount intercoolers.

The rear seat delete is virtually free. The compact battery and new aluminum battery tray/tie-down about $300, but switching to a front mount intercooler is about $800. However, the intercooler has the added bonus of better, much shorter flow, better cooling ability and a lot less heat soak. So that one actually frees up a bit of hp along the way.

As it sits right now, I'm looking at roughly 9.8 lbs per hp, which isn't bad at all.
