I too am looking forward to comparing the MS600 versus the MDA1000. I recently got the Beatles complete stereo works in 24/96 FLAC which should give the DAC's a good workout.

Update - you've got to love UPS (not). My dealer just called to say that while he received my MS600 today, the Control 15 delivery to him has been rescheduled to Thursday. Fortunately, that may be an overly pessimistic estimate since the UPS tracking info shows it to already be in the Dallas area today, which generally means it should make it to Houston tonight and be out for delivery tomorrow.

I'll let you guys know when I finally get them installed. I've got all of the cabling except for the two new network cables and one coaxial digital audio cable already installed, so everything should go quickly once the Sooloos components arrive.

My MC200 is still supposedly on track to arrive toward the end of this week.

Well, the Sooloos Control 15 and MS600 finally made it to my dealer yesterday, and I installed them in my upstairs system last night. I managed to get about a dozen CD's ripped into the Control 15, and I also imported 24-bit/96 KHz FLAC versions of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers "Damn the Torpedoes" and The Beatles "A Hard Days Night", along with a couple of albums in FLAC from my backup copy of my MS750 content. The Sooloos did a good job of recognizing everything except for the Tom Petty album, which I had downloaded as part of a bonus offer I got when I bought the Blu-ray audio version. When I originally downloaded it to my computer, it was kind of clunky in that you had to download each track separately, and the file names for the tracks weren't in just a song name format. This was no big deal for one album as I am going to just go in via Control Mac and enter the correct info manually. So, overall I am pleased with the ripping and file import process.

Ease of use is very good as I had expected from my demo at the dealer's showroom a week earlier. The Control 15 is a great interface, but so is the iPad app.

I have the MS600 connected into my system via both its analog balanced outputs to my C1000 and its coaxial digital output to my MDA1000. It was difficult to make quick A/B comparisons as the level via the analog outputs was several dB higher than via the digital out into the MDA1000. I am still reserving judgement as to which way sounds better, but I can say that both are very, very good. As I have a chance to listen more, I will update you guys on which I like better.

That is quite an accomplishment for one evening. Preparation, knowledge and confidence helps keep "Murphy's Law" under control. The Sooloos sounds like a product we all should seriously consider. Just reading this entire is an education.

I've been a sooloos owner since before Meridian owned them and I still really love it. As the counter just went over 7100 discs yesterday, I've had a flawless experience and listen to a higher percentage of my music than ever before.

I've got a long way to go to catch up to Bob Stuart at Meridian, who has 21,000 discs on his!
