Romain Pilon - Falling Grace

5th album by the Berklee educated French guitarist, in a very competent trio formation which includes Brad Mehldau's drummer.

Olivia Trummer - For You

Enjoyable work by the German artist but I appreciate her talent more as a pianist on her earlier releases

Jacob Karlzon - Wanderlust

Some electro influence in the Swedish pianist work, won't be to everyone's taste, I did enjoy it. Worth mentioning guest artists

Cécile McLorin Salvant - Ghost Song

Well, I guess some aficionados would have placed this release on top of this list... I'm struggling a bit with CMS lately, she's definitely one of the most technically accurate vocalist of her generation, but maybe sometimes a little too sophisticated? I'm sure many will disagree with me
