Extract from website: Bryston Warranty
The warranty is transferable from the original owner to a subsequent owner as long as a copy of the bill-of-sale from the original authorized Bryston dealer accompanies the re-sale. The copy of the bill of sale to any subsequent owner need ONLY include the Name of the Bryston Authorized Dealer and the Model and Serial number of the Bryston product. The warranty will only be honored in the country of the original purchase unless otherwise pre-authorized by Bryston. Then not at your local dealer or distributor. Massimo.......Same here, except that I am considering the balanced Bryston 10B Sub for use with my Sonus Faber Guarneri Memento's and two McIntosh XLS112 powered subwoofers.

I've often wondered if non-transferable warranties are an attempt by certain companies to influence people to buy new instead of used gear ?

Tom...that is exactly what is behind non-transferable warranties, although if you provided a transferable warranty, the resale value of your used product in the secondary market would be higher than gear that does not have this feature which allows you to put a premium on your new gear pricing given high resale value. I would also assume what's behind non-transferable warranties is reduced warranty costs. In my opinion, long-term transferable warranties are a way for manufacturers to differentiate themselves in the marketplace and to generate customer loyalty but you do have to have relatively deep pockets to sustain such a program and i suspect most small niche high end manufacturers simply cannot afford to offer this as a feature/service.
