Default How much do you have invested in your system?

Ok, time for a poll. How much is invested in your audio hobby; let's go with all systems within the house (or multiple houses if applicable, not mentioning any names Ivan) including the components, cabling, the room its in if built for the dedicated purpose, and acoustics, special electrical panels, outlets, power conditioners, upgraded wiring; the whole shebang. I think this is a better picture of the cost of this obsession rather than main system components only. I know some here will have to do this on paper, and it may take a while. And I know at least one of us is outside the range; but I would rather have more diverse middle options as I think the majority are in the middle. I am a cheapie here, at just under 20K. EDIT 20-40K!

magnmac.......No apologies necessary. Your poll is entirely different, taking in all systems a person owns, plus cost of construction for dedicated rooms, etc. This is a good poll.

When I look at the big picture the numbers can be a bit shocking. I am at approximately $210K, maybe even a bit more. That's one reason why I carry a healthy umbrella insurance policy.

That's a good point. Does everybody have an extra rider for all that gear? check your policy; it may have a limit for electronics.

Interesting I see a gap between 90K and 180K... it's like once you hit almost 100K you might as well double that amount!

I had to find some receipts for this one. I'm at approx. $60,000.00. Started with less than $100.00 15 years ago. My most expensive upgrade was $40.000 for mac amps and b&w speakers. largest 1 time shopping spree. My sales person was happy and so am I. Of course we never really stop adding to our systems, do we.
