I have the DirecTV Nomad hooked up to my system. It allows you to stream movies to your iOS device, Mac or PC and also download shows off the DVR for offline viewing.

The Genie is seemingly on constant record in my house, what with all the soccer I like to record and the shows my wife and kids like and the drive is 7 percent full .

Great little device and the blue backlighting matches my McIntosh gear... Win, win
