Default A budget system challenge for me.
I've been using my McIntosh system for a long time now. I am starting to think if I would be happy with a under $3000 system. Maybe even less $$$. I would use this system for at least one month. Anyone here made this move or took this challenge? I'm gonna use my Sony ES amp, Sony ES CD player and Adcom preamp. I need to find a pair of speakers. Perhaps a pair of NHT?

Mike - I've set up many friends with NHT speaker setups for HT, and I recommend them for that purpose and they are good sounding for the $$. For stereo listening that's a bit tougher, but if I had to pick any of them for you, the Classic 3's would definitely be far and away the way to go for what you are trying to do (ideally paired with a sub).

Or should I just stick with my speakers and use "entry level" electronics?
