Based on my experience with the Dartzeel NHB-108 amp, I would pick the Dartzeel CTH-8550, Evoution Micro speakers and a great DAC with multiple inputs (or cd player with digital inputs).

Utterly basic would be my Beyerdynamic T1 headphones into the tube driven headphone socket of my Modwright 5400es sacd/cd player. One component plus one set of headphones. Two pieces that I could be utterly happy with. Darrin

I defined basic as having as much as you needed in the smallest package; conversely the larges package could work given that many of the components (systems of a hifi) are combined.

This way you stream all of your content reducing the size of the physical media storage. You are able to ensure clean power. Lastly, you can playback in any area with no issue to location.
