I wonder how much longer Agon can hang on. I just looked for listings for several Manufacturers and the cupboard is getting very bare. MBL -0 listings, Transparent -14 listings, McIntosh -46 listings - Esoteric - 13 listings. These all are way down from before the changeover.

In addition, I have been trying to pay by outstanding balance and their site cannot process credit cards properly.

If the lights go out this is going to change the resale game for higher end audio. I sure as heck am not going to use e-bay.

I did a search for VMPS on Audigon yesterday and there were 3 items available that were not that old of listings. I searched for them again today and Audigon now says there are none. .??? What the heck...there is no way they dissapeared over night.

I agree. There were several items in the MBL group yesterday. Something is fishy.

It looks as if there was some glitch in the A-gon system last evening (maybe that should not be a surprise). This morning the MBL listing went from 0 to 4, Transparent from 14 to 61, Esoteric 13 to 24 and McIntosh from 46 to about 100. Crazy.

Actually, if you were to have looked up B&W on Audiogon and kept track over the last few weeks you would have noticed the numbers go all over the place. One thing I noticed is that a good amount of the new listings are obviously fraudulent, and all listings from Europe mostly England. A good example is if you narrow the results to those for 800 Nautilus, you'll find many are listings for around $5k. Sheesh, I wish I could get a pair of 800's for $5k...get real. The economy isn't that bad


Here's my real beef with Agon: I've sent them countless notes about the fraud on the "new and better, with less fraud site" and they've done nothing to curb the fraud.

It's so frustrating combing through the listings for simple things, there are so many bogus ads..one c2300 asking 3200.00, the other 4500.00....

Greg.......Yes, I saw this, too, as well as what appears to be many bogus ads from Europe at rediculous prices. I no longer have confidence in Audiogon. I am actually more leary of Audiogon right now than eBay, and I don't buy or sell there, either. It is depressing to lose such a valued resource.
