Secret Corvette EV Prototype By Motorola in the 1990s Waiting For the Right Buyer
`
"Back in the early 1990s, Motorola—yes, that Motorola—built a fully functional 1987 Chevy Corvette EV prototype. And moreover, the car still exists today, a future museum piece currently sitting in a random salvage yard in Gurnee, Illinois, waiting to be discovered by the right buyer." https://www.thedrive.com/culture/we-...from-the-1990s .

This story is intoxicating! All the documentation could be organized to unlock its secrets. The right person or group might resurrect this Vette. Another titanic story!!!! Makes me feel like the young man (that I was) interested in electronics by a high school science teacher.

I have a 1964 Corvette Convertible that I restored.
And I had a 1968 Chevelle SS Convertible that I restored, but sold. It about killed me. Good luck to whomever takes on this project. Most restorations are money losers. Best to already buy after restored. |
