Thank you. I need to get new pics with my good camera now that the front rack is in place. iPhone pics are not doing it justice. I'll wait until the p10 arrives shortly. The room is nearly complete minus some baseboard trim. It went from a full 5.1 theater to a high end 2.0 "Audio Sanctum"! This pic is from a couple of years ago when it was a theater.

A DIY room that turned out pretty good for my first try. The new improved room is tuned better and has way better gear. Lots of lessons learned. Some costly! Pete

Hello,

why invest in a Esoteric K03x in place of a Accuphase DP550?

Accuphase is more quite vs the Esoteric and sure sound not so "cold"!!

Where is the truth?

thank you

I asked in another thread, so hope it's OK to post duplicate here -- how is this player with red book CDs? That's all I listen to.

IMHO it is as good as it gets with Redbook CDs. That is not to start an intellectual debate on specs, blind comparisons, or thumb sizes.

The presence of either the K03 or K03x in my system elevated it far above what I had previously. A Shanling T100MKII, a Marantz SA8004 SACD player, a Denon DVD 5000 player all with their own internals DACs or with a McIntosh D100 external DAC. The Esoteric has a presence that blows them all out of the water. It is fantastic and anchors my full digital sourced system.

But if you are hesitant, you need to listen to one in your system and make up your mind based on that. There are no doubt other top flight competitors that many here can describe.

I'd agree on all points. I like the word "anchors". With all my upgrades, this last purchase really solidified all the other purchases and pulled the system into focus in all areas of soundstage, dynamics, and really everything else. I compared the ARC CD9 as the closest competitor. No buyers remorse here. Redbook is very nice. I'm getting to know my cd collection again!

Thanks to both of you. I'm in Dallas area. Nearest dealer is apparently San Antonio, so in-home test won't be likely.

Hope to chat with Ivan tomorrow to learn more about the brand.

Reference to thumb size went right over my head. Is that audiophile code for something?

No deep meaning, just me trying to be funny and avoid the noise that can come when one offers their opinion on a public forum.

Good luck with your research into the wonders of Esoteric spinners.
