Default Thoughts on my new Esoteric K-01X
I was just listening to Norah Jones' Come Away With Me in DSD download. The sound quality of this download through the K-01X is stunning. I close my eyes and it's like she's singing right in front of me. Since adding the K-01X, the realism factor has just taken off, the presentation is so lifelike. Compared to the K-01, the K-01X also provides a bigger soundstage, more precise imaging, more nuance and refinement, greater ease and blacker blacks than the K-01. By far the best sound I've ever had in my room. The K-01X has soul!

Congratulations! That's awesome. I bought one but it's still in the box as I'm building my system. Sounds like there's a lot to look forward to!

I think you're going to love it. It is significantly better sounding than the K-01 in my opinion. And the K-01 is one fine digital player in its own right.

Yes, congratulations. I have a K-03 and I think it's among the best I've ever heard...so I can't even imagine what a K-01x must be like!

Thanks guys! The K-01, K-01X, K-03 and K-03X are all tremendous digital players. The tonal density, layering, bass and treble extension and dynamics are best in class.

Ken,
Great to hear you're loving the K01x! It was a serious leap of faith for me to get one but I have no regret...none. The last disc spinner I had was the OPPO 105(which was nice) but the esoteric opened up my eyes to what can be done with regards to music. The separation of instruments front to back and side to side gets me every time. Before I felt like everything was meshed together, the K01x is really incredible!
