I have had a Esoteric K03 for some time now. I am not a technical expert by any means so I will not join the technical discussions in previous posts BUT, I will state without reservation, that the K03 is the finest CD player I have ever listened to. It continues to impress me on how it plays CDs and acts as a DAC for other components in my system.

Hey Ed. I have only been in the High End Audio realm roughly 2 years. I have owned the McIntosh MCD301, 500 and currently own the MCD550 and 1100. With each of the McIntosh CD players, I can not audibly hear a difference. They all sound to me...simply outstanding! Have you had a chance to compare the McIntosh line of CD players versus Teac's Esoteric line? If so, can you describe the experience...and this question is open to anyone that had had a chance to compare. I'm really happy with my McIntosh line and can't imagine improving perfection...but I suppose you can, yes?

Dan did a nice comparison between the esoterica and Mac CD players.

David go to the Esoteric forum and see esoteric verses Mcintosh 1100. Dan does a great job of expressing his findings. Much better than me

My local dealer once told me that.
Between P1 and D1, using the best AESEBU Digital cables sounded better than using the best HDMI cables on ES4 Link.
They used Zenzati AESEBU at that time.
Toga.

Toga.
Been there, done it... nothing compares with the bandwidth that quality HDMI cables will provide.
