Remote function in k01 and k03x is not the same as that of previous non x models. Its a Paper weight when playing digital files.

Right, now i found out that:

Manual K01-X page 15,

"e INPUT buttons (</>)
These buttons are not used with this unit. They can be used to
switch the inputs of Esoteric D/A converters (including the D-02)
and amplifiers.

f SETUP button
This button is not used with this unit. It can be used with
Esoteric D/A converters (including the D-02), amplifiers and
other products."

Why did they do that??? Sometimes i really do not understand the strategy of the Esoteric company and the way they distribute and develop those highprice unit´s.

The irony is, the remote itself is a thing of art, built like a tank and wrapped in leather! Yet essentially useless.
