Default K-03 review from Sound Stage Hi-Fi

There is still very little info out there in my opinion on the K-01 and K-03. I try to read everything I can on these. Slowly ther are coming up. After each new piece of information I read, the more I want them!!! Still, a little out of my price league!

There was a K-03 on A-gon yesterday at a great price. I see it is gone this morning.

I like the design of Esoteric's gear as much or more that any other audio company.

Jim...did you ever give the K-03 a listen? If so, impressions? How did it compare to your MCD-1100? Thx

They surely look built like a tank + I also like the design. I get the same feeling as I have with Mc, that you could buy one and enjoy it for decades....

A local dealer was going to let me take one home to audition, but I decided to go with the MCd-1100 to keep the McIntosh look. I haven't regretted the decision at all but that does not mean the K-03 wouldn;t have sounded great too.

There is another K-03 up on A'gon today at a reasonable price. I wonder how the K-03 compares to the older but still similarly priced P-05 / D-05 seperates?

The K-03 has my attention. I've not had a chance to audition one yet. I've also heard rumors of a K-05.

I bought a demo K-03 last month and, though it is not yet fully broken in, I am very pleased. With Synergistic cabling, the K-03 delivers excellent results. I highly recommend it and, dare I say, believe it represents a great value.
