I have just had them home for an audition. In my system the sound was much better when I plugged the Defender in the PS8 as opposed to the wall outlet. My thoughts are to use the PS8 and a high quality power cord. I'm not sure if I liked what the Defender did to the sound, the PS8 was quite good by itself.

I have owned several power products over the years and was not overly pleased with any of them until I purchased a PS8 for my sources. I have a Defender in one of sockets and it does seem to help. I also have a second Defender in a nearby socket. I switched to a Alpha HC from the wall to the PS8 and a Alpha Digital from the PS8 to my Meridian unit. I will stay with Transparent PC's everywhere else. The PS8 is a nice unit.

What is the recommended PC from the wall to the PS8? I currently have a 20amp Delta NR plus the Defender installed which adds some NR. Would an XC be a better choice or stick with the NR since the PS8 does not have NR built in like the other conditioners?

I'd stick with your Delta NR.

I do not know if the PS8 + Defender is abit closer to the Venom EU7. But I do know that the EU7 responds with better inlet cable and would respond well to the XC since it has filtering built-in.

A Delta NR V1 vs Delta XC with VTX-Ag, I don’t think it will be close.

If you are unsure you can ofcourse go with a Delta V2 NR, you get the VTX-Ag in both cases.
