Now that the Unison usb upgrades are out for the Yiggy and Gumby, we will have to re-evaluate the sonics of each IMO!

I prefer warm, “over slightly cold and accurate”.

I’ve been reading elsewhere that the Unison is indeed all it’s supposed to be.

I really like the sound of my Gumby, but I’m going for it. As long as I can send in the motherboard without the current Gen 5 USB and have ability to go back to Gen 5 should I desire.

Hey Mike, I think you should be able to do that because the new Unison USB will replace the Gen 5 USB.

What I don't know is if you could go backwards in the firmware required for Unison to go back to Gen 5 USB if you wanted.

But knowing Schiit, I don't think you're going want to go backwards.

I have to pay for my upgrade, too, and get in the queue. I'll do that today.

Yup.

But I should add if one is not using at least a Shunyata Alpha USB cable with Gumby or Yggy, you're definitely not hearing what it is truly capable of.

I’m 48 hours in with the new Unison USB board. I like what I’m hearing. I’ll post more on the thread I started.

They did actually, even though an email reply said they wouldn’t until it’s scheduled.
