Default Time on your hands?

All my customers have cancelled outside contracts which means I've got a lot of time on my hands. I'm guessing a lot of other folks are in the same situation.

I'm going to get to some audio repair projects completed - restoring my MAC 4300V and fixing my MR 80 tuner will be a good start.

What are you doing with your extra time?

Multitasking (reading AA posts) while in a virtual meeting that is meandering. The new reality for a while.

On a brighter note, the wife of a colleague here is is one of the researchers on the Moderna corona virus vaccine that is starting Phase II human trials today. My daughter (Broad Institute) is helping develop
rapid COVID-19 tests based on CRISPR technologies. Folks are pulling together, working some long hours, despite some of the early missteps in Washington. Not a hoax, Mr. Hannity.

Stay healthy all.

Tom - Wanna come watch my kids while they’re out of school? You can play with their pet hamsters.

I’ve never been one to be bored as I have multiple hobbies. Can’t say that this situation has added any more or less free time that I dedicate to them, it’s mostly the level of inspiration and of course being concerned does take some wind out of the “inspiration sails” at the moment. I do however have a few projects that I wanted to complete for spring so I should get on them.

One other hobby I recently added to my list is building scale models and I’m focusing on WWII as the main subject. So now I have Various Panzer, Sherman and Soviet tanks and other armored vehicles on my hobby room shelves.

Picked up another skill in the process and that is airbrushing the models so had to go through the learning curve of learning how to airbrush and the equipment needed.

I’m catching up on reading, chores and projects around the house, refurbishing an old Thorens TT, walking the dog, and of course listening to lots of music. I’m also on the board of our local United Way, and while I’m not having to drive anywhere for meetings, we’re having a lot of conference calls as we work with other local non-profits getting a new Coronavirus fund off the ground.

That's a welcome ray of sunlight.

Fillng in my hunkering-down time by digging deep into my music collection and listening to less-performed 20th-century American (Siegmeister, Ward, Keller, Goeb, Mayer) and British (Simpson, Mathias, Alwyn) composers while knocking out a for-the-hell-of-it novel (about 5000 words in so far) and contemplating how Saint Mrs. is likely to respond to my "decorating" of the bedroom wall with the second Aperture II I'm on the verge of ordering from Ivan.

That's a cool hobby, that was my father's hobby when I was growing up. He built models....loved fighter jet aircraft. He got really into the airbrushing and became quite good at it. You should post some pics of your work when you get some done, love to see it.
