CES 2015 Brinkmann Bardo/EMT 997

I saw an article on The Audio Traveler website that caught my eye. John Devore had a Brinkmann Bardo with a EMT 997 banana arm and EMT cartridge. It seems an interesting mix of old and new technologies. Did anyone get to hear this combo? I'd love hear anyone's thoughts!
