Hey Demans, I power a pair of Evidence Temptations with Bryston 28Bsst2 mono blocks. All though they have always sounded great with most stuff, they REALLY woke up when I change my source to Esoteric D-02/ P-02 DAC and Transport. Mine is definately a case of good in good out. I had an OPPO 83SE playing through a Bryston SP3 preamp, and it sounded good, but there was plenty of untapped performance in the Dyn's that blew me away.
Also, these speakers play loud as good as anything out there, the bass bangs on my chest with those 8 woofers. I had PBN KAS2 Montanas and though the bass was good, they have (4) twelve inch subs built in with 1000 watt ICE amps. The bass from the Temptations is fast and powerful.

Hi, I have McIntosh MC 601s driving Dynaudio Sapphire. They sound terrific and look great.

Colekat - with your change from Oppo83 to Esoteric D-02/P-02, would you be able to attribute the improvement to the dac ?

Default New Dynaudio speakers

Folks:
I heard a air of Dynaudio Excite X-14s at TAVES last weekend. They look exactly like the Excite X-12s but they are 8 ohm and were amazing in the medium-sized room that Leslie Gizur of Star Electronics had set them up in... I suppose they have different speakers than the x12s and different electronics but I was really taken with them. Going to listen to another set in another room (hopefully larger) in a month to see if I am still amazed.
Mike

Nice! I'd love to have a set of LP140Ms!

Well Puma Cat, I keep toying with upgrading to LP275's vs CT5 to GAT. Or maybe Pass mono blocks for those power hog Dyns! I'll let you know if I am going to sell them.
Regards,
John
