Hi Bart, I should have. The Absolares are great tube amps, definitely in the same league with VAC and ARC, if not higher. However, I just recently acquired the Kondo Kagura monos. They're still breaking in, but they are just heavenly. So my mind was a little distracted!

Another consideration for the "value" category would be PrimaLuna. Their Dialogue Premium HP Integrated, the Dialogue preamp, and the HP monoblock amps are really good, and killer for the money.

Agree on the primaluna, my Dialogue HP with KT150s is a few steps above (in my system) than a few of the ones mentioned in this thread that I've had or addition in the past.

Great thread and list 👍

Not necessarily in this order.

These are the only three I can nominate for a top five list where I can speak to from personal experience. Have owned lesser pieces (KLH, Nad, Primare, Luxman) and heard several of the lines others have mentioned in dealers shops, but not enough to make a valid judgement.
