Default Cars, Bikes and F-Stops

Post your favorite road trip pics in this thread.

I’ll start.

Took delivery of the bike that I have dreamt of owning for many decades yet never pulled the trigger because there were always newer, faster, sportier and fancier bikes.

The day finally came. The legendary and iconic Triumph Bonneville T120 was on the truck heading to me. .

Delivery around noon and I was on it in the next 10 min heading out to my favorite local roads.

I spent the next 3 hrs just cruising around the back roads and stopping to take a few pictures along the way. Well technically I used my iPhone for the pics today so had no control over the F-Stop but will start bringing more serious cameras once I mount bags on this bike.

I have to say, I love this bike The most comfortable and pleasant bike for cruising around at the local speed limits of 35-40 mph, enjoying the weather, the wind in the face and taking the scenery in.

Put 72 break in miles on it today, gave it its first bath and a wax and then took it for a brief sunset cruise to get all the water from the wash out before putting it away for the night. Can’t wait to go on another ride soon.

Some pics from today’s ride.

The collection grows...

My local dealer has style pulling into my driveway with a Mercedes Benz delivery truck...

Left a shiny, brand new, 2022 model Triumph Bonneville Speed Twin.

First time I ever took delivery of a bike with actual 0 miles on the odometer. Usually there are at least a few miles while they road test them and make a gas run.

Well, it was up to me to road test it I guess...

So off I went and put the first 57 miles on the bike on the local back roads.

Fantastic bike.

I need to figure out the breed of the Bulls in the background. They all look identical and there are at least 7 of them roaming around the large property.

Looked it up. Turns out black and white are cows and not bulls. Probably the Holstein breed which is popular in the US...

Learn something new everyday

Then again they could be the Belted Galloway, "Belti" or a "Panda Cow" breed...

Well, I did not grow up in the country, I have zero clue about cow breeds but "Panda Cow" sounds cool to me....

Look like Belties. Panda cows have white faces with black eye rings, like a panda.

Serge, fantastic bikes, enjoy them

And thanks for sharing those pictures, wonderful surroundings you have

If you ever happen to visit I'll take you for a nice ride in the Alps nearby my place, and I can show you what cows look like in Switzerland and in France

I'll be soon doing my annual bike trip with my buddies, this year South of France as we're not venturing too far and going for a shorter time, previous trips were in Andalucia, Portugal, Tuscany and Croatia, all great places!
