Freddie, no updates. I am enjoying my MCT500. The 901 is not compatible with my system because it has no digital coaxial output that my D1100 can decode. Thank you for asking.

Can't you use the analogs outs and let the 901 decode?

No. The D1100 has no analog inputs. It is a digital pre. Mac doesn't slipup often but their use of an Oppo transport (if my memory serves me correctly) precludes compatibility with my D1100. However, my MVP 881 will send a digital signal to the D1100 it can decode. It is an excellent BR player. I'll be keeping it.
