FS: JL Audio E110 Subwoofer Gloss Black

For sale is my JL Audio E110 (ESub) in Gloss Black. No dents, dings, or nicks. The amp board is just back from JL because I was having trouble with the volume and it needed a volume potentiometer. Apparently this is not uncommon but as a bonus they also replace all of the other potentiometers on the control board (crossover frequency control and the phase alignment control) with new ones. Additionally, a total of 5 capacitors were replaced with upgraded versions that handle higher temps and pc board modification was also applied to increase continuity. Tested and passed as if brand new. This was out of warranty, so it cost me $350. (I included the service emails and receipt from JL with the pics of the unit below).

I have all of the original packaging and will include, free of charge, a 20 foot pair of Wireworld Luna8 RCA Subwoofer cables, $60 retail.

With the amp board repair and upgrade and the sub cables, I think there is some real value here.

Retail $2,100.00, selling for $850 delivered free in CONUS.

Joe....I have two of these (in black ash) in my bedroom 5.1 system, and they are really fine performers. I've had no trouble with either of them, as yet. One is a bit over 4 years old, the other a bit over 5 years old. I also have an E112 in gloss black in my office. I love all three of these subs.

Good luck with the sale; I'm sure somebody will be very pleased. That's a really nice price too.

Thanks Pete, I am glad that you are enjoying your subs. To be honest, I did not know I had a problem until I was running Barry Obers frequency sweeps and the volume was acting jumpy. I am always trying to get it dialed in just exactly perfect, but while it was gone I didn't miss it . The Canton Ref3ks handle low frequencies very well, but I still wanted to try a sub based on all of the positives that I read that they can add. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had 2 subs, but for now I am going to go sans sub. My loss is someone else's gain. With all of the upgrades that came with rhe repair, JL says this is like a brand new sub.

Joe....I'm sure your Cantons do a fine job on their own. In my case, I'm using JBL 4401's as the fronts in my bedroom 5.1 system, and while they do surprisingly well for their size, a sub or two is really needed for full impact. I'd hate to have to send either of them out for repair, but so far I haven't detected any problems.

Pete - anyone with a 5.1 system in their bedroom deserves to never have any problems with their subs!
