I would doubt that Mcintosh attended CES. Historically Mcintosh has not been a big CES participant.

I'm almost certain I read somewhere that CES was dropping 2 channel audio from it's exhibition.

Yea, it is crazy since the show started out mostly doing home stereos. How things change! I think SVS had a display there though, and Magnepan has shown up in the recent past. Now it is 80% pacific rim tech companies. SEMA was going the same way when I was there a few years ago.

5-10 years ago they always had a nice room in one of the Hotels. CES has changed and home audio is not much of a factor anymore. |

And with RMAF now a thing of the past our numbers are growing thin.

from the 90s thru the about 2010 I never saw Mcintosh at CES.I think they started exhibiting when the were under the same corporate umbrella as Denon and Marantz.

McIntosh is not exhibiting this year. Very few audio companies are, with the exception of Harman, now owned by Samsung.
The Venetian floors that used to be dedicated to high end audio are sparsely populated by a dog’s breakfast of companies, most I’ve never heard of. A few audio companies received innovation awards this year for mainstream products, Naim MuSo headphone, PSB with a new speaker, THX with a portable DAC. Other innovation awards for audio products focused on personal listening devices and Bluetooth party speakers. In years past, a lot of audio exhibitors were grousing about the challenges of exhibiting at CES, so this is not at all unexpected. The Venetian suites were hard to navigate, small, and acoustically desolate. I would visit since I was at the show for other reasons, but no way would I have gone to Vegas just to see the high end audio stuff. Way too much of a hassle. I do hope regional shows make a comeback.
